Steps to Add Email Account on Outlook
Please use an advanced setup to add a POP or IMAP account in Outlook (Windows)
You can use Outlook’s advanced setup option to enter specific values for incoming and outgoing server names, SSL settings, or port numbers. You need to use those instructions to add a POP or IMAP account.
- Firstly, Under Outlook, click on File > Add Account
- Then, please enter your Email and click on Advance Option; now click on Let me set up my Account manually; click Connect.
- Select your account type, Usually, People have IMAP; click on IMAP
- You will see the account setting, which already will have the info in that; click Next
- Since you have set up the Account, enter your password and Click Connect.
For setting up third-party MAPI Email in Outlook, do Advance Setup.
Suppose You have a Third-party MAPI service Provider. You will have to download and set up the MAPI Email provider application as suggested by the service provider of your Email.
- You will have to click on Outlook, Click File > Add Account
- Then, please enter your Email and click on Advance Option; now click on Let me set up my Account manually; click Connect.
- On this screen in Advanced Setup, you must Click Other.
- Now, From the list, You need to select the type of server to connect to.
- Click Connect.
- So, now the third-party MAPI provider application should launch as it is set up on your PC.
- Finish the setup by following the service provider’s instructions. (As different service provider has other options)
